Chin Augmentation:

The chin is an integral part of our profile. It balances the face and refines the neckline. For example, a strong chin will balance and compliment a robust nose. Conversely, many people believe they have a prominent nose when in fact an underdeveloped, underprojected chin is the primary cause of facial disharmony. Chin position can be addressed in one of two ways: either by inserting an implant beneath the skin, or by advancing the entire jawbone forward.

It is common for the facial plastic surgeon to recommend chin surgery in addition to nose surgery when the surgeon sees that chin augmentation is necessary to achieve facial balance and harmony. Fortunately, this is a relatively straightforward procedure that can make a major difference.

Cheek Augmentation:

This surgery can enhance facial contours and brings balance to the facial features. It is also used to correct asymmetries and congenital defects.  Implants may be selected to fill out a face that appears "sunken" or tired.

For example, during a facelift, a patient may wish to have implants placed over the cheekbones to help restore a more youthful appearance.
